Knights of the Month February 2021

Grade 10Mohammed Huoseh

Hard working, inquisitive and respectful are a few ways you could describe Mohammed. He encourages classroom discussions and will interact with any of his peers in a positive manner. He is always looking for ways to improve and grow and holds himself to a very high standard. Mohammed perfectly embodies the qualities that we want our Knights to have as they embark on their journey through high school.

Grade 11Salsabel Aboktef

Salsabel has been involved in a number of Leadership, UNESCO and Global Citizenship events that aim to make our school and our world a better place for all that reside among it. She contributed to an Edmonton Public Schools project for Black History Month where she shared a poem she had written that outlined her experiences with the hope of furthering the conversation around this topic. All of this work has also made Salsabel one of Canada’s finalists for the EllisDon’s Shaping the Future Sponsorship Program. Go Salsabel!!

Grade 12Lakota Kopochinski

From Mushrooms to Coffee Beans, Lakota has accomplished a lot in Queen E’s Innovate Lab. She took the initiative to organize a fundraiser to produce and sell coffee with all proceeds going towards the Stollery Children’s Hospital. She has been a critical member of her Work Experience class this quarter helping her classmates maintain aquaponic and FarmBot grow systems. On top of all of this she loves to share her knowledge of growing and caring for houseplants, vegetables and mushrooms. Lakota is awesome!
